"Déluge" - Le film by Lisaa-animation
while searching through some of the French art college animation sites I found this short animation, it is so amazing, the model of the boat, the backgrounds, the shaky edges and the haunting soundtrack…makes me wonder how I could make a character really different, with a different type of design, less traditional, more …well…arty…but am not sure I could pull it off…more food for thought. i love this site, the students have also included video of their thought processes, how they designed the characters, the models they made etc etc, the background and set design can all be seen separately and i love that each of them are so great standing alone, but then when put together are amazing. this is very different from the style i seem to use, and i wonder if i should incorporate some of these ideas.
i am now seeing that the more you look at the more inspired you can get and the more ideas you have to draw on and give you a different edge...
